Who are we?
The International Association for Moroccan British and American Cultural Dialogue (IAMBACD) is dedicated to the development and promotion of academic, historical, cultural, civic and social connections between Moroccan, British and American people. We strive to strengthen links between academics, educators, teachers, students, artists, photographers, painters, sculptors, calligraphers, film directors, musicians, singers, theatrical directors, circus managers, sports men and women, museum directors, gallery curators, cultural investors, civil society activists, environmentalists, civil and agricultural engineers, tourism professionals, journalists, translators, lawyers, jurists and architects. We seek to foster cross-cultural proximity by creating opportunities for academic encounters, educational links, artistic initiatives, civic activities, social actions and charitable partnerships through interactive, generative, transformative and soft forms of historical, archival and cultural diplomacy.
The IAMBACD aims to:
· create and facilitate academic, educational , artistic, cultural, social and touristic mobility programmes between Morocco, Britain and the United States
· facilitate twin-MA programmes for Moroccan , British and American students
· foster social, civil and environmental forms of exchange between Moroccan, British and American impact makers and leaders of positive change
· facilitate entrepreneurial partnerships between Moroccan , British and American professionals in creative and cultural industries
· collaborate with Moroccan, British and American professionals to create and facilitate touristic projects and immersion activities on archival, artistic and cultural foundations
· organize artistic activities, sports events , theatrical and performance spectacles and music concerts to raise money for charitable causes in Morocco, Britain and the United States
· create intercultural proximity gardens, museums, galleries , zoos and farms
· encourage cross-cultural holiday visits between Moroccan, British and American families , students, friends, colleagues , professionals and experts
· connect Moroccan , British and American artists such as musicians, painters, sculptors, storytellers and professional performers to work on innovative intercultural initiatives
· revive the Greatest Circus Shows on Earth in Morocco, Britain and the United States
· plant Moroccan olive, fig, orange and palm trees in British and American farms to celebrate agricultural and ecological friendship
· organize cross-cultural camping trips for Moroccan, British and American children and teens
· develop business, management and leadership English skills and communication competencies among Moroccan heritage professionals and cultural entrepreneurs
· develop Arabic and Amazigh learning programmes for British, American and English speaking residents in Morocco
· create a collaborative network of Arts Residencies for Moroccan , British , American and English-speaking countries in Morocco and the Anglo-American world
· re-edit, collect and translate Moroccan Anglo-American literary and cultural encounters across Arabic and English
· choose cultural diplomats representing our charity in Britain, the United States , the Commonwealth ,the Maghreb, Africa, the Arabo-Islamic World , the Global South and China
